SAFE BOATING COURSE
April 11, 13, & 18  6pm to 9:15pm

This state-approved course will be held at the Newport Yacht Club. The RI DEM Safe Boating Certificate will be issued.  Registration is $45.00 ($25.00 for each additional family member).

Note that while this is a great course for anyone, RI residents born after January 1, 1986 operating a motor vessel and any person operating a personal watercraft (jet ski) in RI waters must be certified.

Registration is limited and first come/first served. It is open to non-members.

Thanks to the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for providing the instruction and to Club staff for their support.

Topics covered in the course include Rules of the Road, personal watercraft (PWC) operation, boat handling, knots, Aids to Navigation (ATON), RI Boating Regulations and more. Successful completion will provide you with a RI Boating Safety Certificate issued by DEM.
