It is with great admiration that we share Carmine Olivieri, a member of the Newport Yacht Club since 1982 passed away suddenly on March 31,2025 while on his boat — his happy place, and truly the only place it could have happened.

Carmine loved his family, his friends and his life boating. He lived his life by his motto “one day at a time” and valued every day. He fulfilled his dream of completing the great loop in 2022-2023 and then continued boating with the weather and to his family and friends spending summers in Rhode Island, springs and falls in Maryland and winters in Florida. Our hearts are broken. He was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can say.

He will forever have blue skies and Calm Seas.
